Pearl Hepburn (she/they) and is an Outreach Coordinator and Teaching Artist who loves serving the many diverse neighborhoods of NYC. After graduating from NYU Steinhardt with a Bachelor's of Science in Media, Culture and Communications and a minor in Sociology in 2023, they have continued to advocate for marginalized youth through organizations like the Harlem Children's Zone, Mighty Writers of Philadelphia, CAMBA, Food Not Bombs, The Free Black Women’s Library and the Caribbean Equality Project. They champion the living history of kiki and ballroom culture, along with the dances and music that connect with their Caribbean heritage. Outside of BBX they enjoy writing, horror movies, baking and speaking out about injustice through the mediums of performance, poetry and punk music.
