To educate students not only in a diversity of partner dances, but also the countries and cultures from which they originate.
PHYSICAL ENGAGEMENT
To develop cooperative partnering skills in a variety of
Latin & Ballroom dances (proper frame, steps & patterns)
improving timing, rhythm, balance, coordination and
teamwork in a poised and polite manner.
SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL ENGAGEMENT
To foster cooperation, confidence, and self-esteem by encouraging kindness, respect, acceptance and camaraderie among classmates.
A RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING ARTS & CULTURE ACTIVITY
This partner-dance program renews & enhances rapport among classmates and strengthens the connection between teachers and their students.
CULTIVATING COURTESY AMONG PEERS
By design, students practice physical and verbal courtesies during every interaction, helping to cultivate mutual respect and kindness.
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT
Children grow socially, emotionally, and physically as they learn collaboration, body awareness, cultural appreciation, confidence, and listening skills — all while having fun.
