Our BBX "Hispanic Heritage Program Module" celebrates Latin Heritage with a dynamic presentation of dances from multiple Spanish-speaking countries. This mini-program is perfect for Hispanic Heritage Month, but can be done any time of year!
INTRODUCTION TO LATIN DANCE STYLES
This module features Merengue, Salsa, and Bachata (time permitting), giving students a
lively and culturally rich intro
to Latin partner dance.
LEARNING THE "BASIX" OF LATIN DANCES
Students develop foundational dance skills and proper partnering techniques that emphasize rhythm, timing, respect, and coordination.
MULTIMEDIA AND CULTURAL ENRICHMENT
Each lesson includes videos, music, and brief cultural discussions that deepen students’ understanding of and appreciation for the historical and artistic context.
HISPANIC HERITAGE "FIESTA FINALE"!
The program concludes with a vibrant celebration where students showcase their new skills and cultural knowledge for the school community.
ENGAGING "FUNWORK" EXTENSIONS
Creative take-home activities encourage students to explore Latin culture and share what they’ve learned with friends & families.
