Students are taught the "basix" in a diversity of dances, from the Harlem Renaissance era

Proper dance technique, and the etiquette that is integral to the poise and politeness of partner dancing is instructed

Each lesson is supplemented with media to support lessons, discussions and students are assigned “funwork” that is relevant to the topic of each lesson
Our new "Harlem Renaissance Program Module" is a celebration of the many dances that originated in Harlem, mostly during the 1920s—many of which were popularized at the famous Savoy Ballroom.
