COUNCIL RELATIONS MANAGER
SENIOR TEACHING ARTIST
TRAINING MANAGER
Zoe Julich is a much-sought after professional tango dancer, instructor, choreographer, actress and singer with a serious passion for health, education, and indiscriminate kindness. She started working for BALLROOM BASIX in 2011 and is now the company's most Senior Teaching Artist and Curriculum/NYC Council Relations Manager. She was offered the opportunity to train for the Olympics during her figure skating years at Skyrink, but declined the offer because she “loves people too much to take a somewhat solitary path”. Her educational background also includes Joffrey Ballet, Hip-Hop with Kelsa Reiger, Modern Dance with Jill Becker, Lee Strassberg, William Esper and Robert X. Modica acting schools, and classical voice training with John Koch. Creatively educated through the Waldorf School, Rudolf Steiner, she knows how to balance artistic and academic exploration to continue to grow and learn within her body, heart and mind as the years pass. She utilizes this unique educational experience to encourage the use of imagination and the development of techniques to protect from injury, with an emphasis on fun and laughter when working with the thousands of young students she has compassionately mentored through BALLROOM BASIX™.
